Rozin, Joseph (Rogochover Gaon)
(1858-1936)
   Latvian talmudist. He was born in Rogochover, and became rabbi of the Hasidic community of Dvinsk in 1889. During World War I he fled to St Petersburg, where he was the rabbi of a Hasidic community for ten years. He subsequently returned to Dvinsk. He wrote responsa and a commentary on Maimonides' Mishneh Torah. His collected works appeared under the title Tzaphenat Paaneah
